  2. Hi Michael! It's really good to hear from you! And that's a great question about the garden. The "machambas" or gardens are planted by professors and students. There are many different gardens here at my school. The gardens in the video were planted by the professors who live here on the school compound and by the school director. They are quite generous and they let me pick cucumbers, lettuce heads, tomatoes, sugar cane, corn, lemon grass, papaya, hot peppers, and other produce when they're ripe. It's so cool to have access to so many different types produce in my backyard. Unfortunately, I don't garden, I just eat, haha!
