The Most Beautiful Hike in Mozambique: Gurúè!

This past weekend, I went to the city of  Gurúè which is about a 2 and a half hour drive from where I am.  I heard from the health volunteer who lives there that the city is one of the prettiest in Mozambique.  A group of about thirty volunteers visited to see the site and to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  On Saturday morning, we went on a five hour hike and this is was we saw:

These cute kids were our tour guides for part of the way...

We saw a little waterfall but we wanted to see the big cascadas, waterfalls.

Balancing goods on their heads.

Breathtaking!

We're almost there...!
Man, I'm so jealous of the people who live here.

Richard watching the locals wash their clothes.

Why spend hundreds of dollars on video games when the kids can have fun running around with tires and sticks?
Cabritos. Goats.

Look, there's the big waterfall we've been waiting for!

Made it to the waterfall.  Here we are resting and enjoying the view.

View from the top of the waterfall.  Amazing!!!

"To Be" or not "To Be"

I know this is the third video in a row, but I thought it would be easier to film what I do with my class instead of writing about it.  Here, my students are learning how to conjugate the verb "to be" in English.  Some of my students are kinesthetic learners, so here they are singing, dancing, and learning inglês. English.
